Most everyone wants to belong … to a group or organization or sacred community, but not many folks will admit wanting to belong to someone.  It’s a good thing, then, that God is not just any some “one.” And, from the day of our conception, and made public in the waters of baptism, we belong to God. It doesn’t matter whose head is imprinted on the coins in our pockets. God’s image is imprinted on our hearts.
